Since this falls within the standard guidelines, it meets the first criterion for being classified as an Irish Stout.

The next factor we will consider is the color intensity of the beer, measured in SRM . The SRM of the beer increases with the increasing darkness of the beer. In other words, darker beers will have higher SRM values.
