New Research From Yougov Has Revealed The Top 20 Most Popular Beers In The United States With Household Names Dominating The List

AROUND BALTIMORE: America’s 100 Best Beer Bars, Beer ice cream & Bullet trains

YouGov, the global public opinion and data analytics website, has tackled the mammoth question: what is the most popular beer in America?

To come to their conclusions, the site aggregated likeability ratings of a range of popular beers. The ratings were calculated by using the number of surveyed individuals who ranked their feelings towards a particular brew as positive. These ratings were then compared with the other entries on the list to establish the final scores on the doors.

Here are the top 20 most popular beers in America, according to YouGov research:

    The Alchemist In Stowe Vermont

    The family-operated The Alchemist brewery is located in the charming New England ski town of Stowe, Vermont. It is the perfect treat to visit as you’re in town on a snowy weekend or enjoying a summer getaway. If you’re an Alchemist fan, you’ve likely tasted their flagship IPA Heady Topper. If you haven’t tried it yet, you absolutely must give it a go, along with their Focal Banger, its unfiltered and refreshing IPA. This brewery is also well known for its fun labels. The Heady Topper artwork, for example, was created by musical artist Dan Blakeslee . The brewery also features original artwork throughout its taproom.

    Not only is The Alchemist popular for its awesome brews, but the brewery was also the recipient of the Spirit of ADA award for being “an inspiration and role model to all Vermont employers,” according to Rose Lucenti, chairperson of the Vermont Governor’s Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities . The Alchemist was given kudos for creatively working with employees who have physical or intellectual disabilities to help them perform their job. It just makes us love this brewery even more.

    This is a hazy light beer that has the fruity phenols you expect in a wheat beer, Flora says about Lost Coasts Great White. One thing I love is their use of coriander. It gives a floral, peppery aroma that I always try to replicate when I make a wheat beer. The pepper compliments the sweetness of beer perfectly.

    Two Roads Brewing In Stratford Connecticut

    There’s so much to love about this hip brewery. And if you’re a Robert Frost fan, you’ll love this story. “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference,” wrote Frost somewhere around 1916, and that’s where the name for the Two Roads brewery came from .

    Besides the great beer, Two Roads Brewing in Stratford, Connecticut holds some pretty awesome events, including an Ok2berfest every fall, where each ticket holder receives a celebratory beer stein. With so much buzz surrounding the silver-and-black pint cans, can the beer inside possibly live up to the hype? You bet. If anything, Heady Topper exceeds most reasonable expectations. Itâs a dank, piney hop bomb that doesnât feel gratuitously bitter. It packs quite a punch without feeling boozy. And for such a celebrated IPA, itâs surprisingly balanced. If you only drive to small-town Vermont for one beer, make it this one.
